Gua Sha for Body: The Complete Beginner's Map
Gua sha for the body is simpler than the face version — bigger zones, more room for error, faster visible payoff. The beginner's map:
Legs: ankle to knee in long strokes, outside then inside, 5–8 strokes per line. Thighs: knee towards hip, front then outer side. Arms: wrist to shoulder, underside first. Shoulders and neck: the payoff zone — short strokes from neck outward along the shoulder line; this is where desk tension lives.
The three rules: always on slip (body milk first, never dry), always towards the heart, always lighter than you think — pink is the goal, never red.
Twice a week, five minutes. That's the whole practice.
